Wellbeing Support

Families of Wallington PS with emerging wellbeing needs and concerns are invited to first meet with classroom teachers. Teachers will then escalte concerns as appropriate through the Wellbeing team of Anthea, Kelly, Lisa and Cameron for further support where required.

Confidential concerns can be directed to the Principal via requesting meetings through the school email or front office.

Our Wellbeing School Improvement Team leader, Anthea Cook, oversees personalised adjustments and supports for individual students across the school, supporting staff members and teachers with implementing inclusive practices as well as broader whole-school wellbeing programs. Anthea brings a wealth of knowledge from her tertiary studies, where she majored in Inclusive Education, specifically supporting diverse learners, English as Additional Language students, students with disabilities, students displaying challenging behaviours, and gifted and twice exceptional students.

Kelly Kapetanovski and Lisa Collins liaise with families, staff and specialists to cater to meet the needs of our students both existing and emerging. These highly experienced and specialised Educational Support Officers work to support parents and carers through Student Support Group meetings and Individual Education Plans, coordinating and facilitating strong positive working relationships between the key stakeholders of teacher-education support-parent-allied health professionals.

The school community can make use of the dedicated wellbeing email in order to communicate directly with the Wellbeing Team: wellbeing@wallington-ps.vic.edu.au
